How to connect and use Zoom with DMDrop

Connect Zoom to automatically generate secure video rooms and join links for your 1:1 creator consultations.

The short answer

Navigate to Creator Studio → Integrations, click Connect on Zoom, and authorize DMDrop in the Zoom App Marketplace. Unique Zoom meeting links and passcodes will automatically be created and sent to clients when they book a call.

Why connect Zoom for creator calls?

If you prefer Zoom over Google Meet for consultations, mentoring, or paid coaching sessions, DMDrop's Zoom integration automates the entire process:

  • Dynamic meeting creation: Generates a distinct Zoom meeting ID and passcode for every booking.
  • Prevent link sharing: Each client gets their own dedicated join URL, preventing unwanted attendees from joining.
  • Waiting room protection: Enables Zoom's built-in waiting room so you control when participants enter the session.

How to connect Zoom in DMDrop

  1. Open your DMDrop Creator Studio and click Integrations in the navigation.
  2. Find the Zoom card (labeled Add a Zoom link when someone books a call).
  3. Click the blue Connect button.
  4. You will be redirected to Zoom's authorization portal. Sign in with your Zoom account credentials.
  5. Review the permissions requested by DMDrop (Create and view meetings on your behalf).
  6. Click Allow / Authorize.
  7. You will be redirected back to DMDrop, where the Zoom integration card will show as active.

How to use Zoom with your bookings & automations

  1. Go to Meetings in your DMDrop dashboard.
  2. Create or edit a call service (e.g., “60-Min 1:1 Strategy Call”).
  3. Set the video conferencing method to Zoom.
  4. When a customer purchases a call slot on your storefront, DMDrop uses the Zoom API to generate a meeting.
  5. The Zoom link and join details are instantly sent in the buyer's confirmation email and through your automated Instagram DM confirmation flow.

You can disconnect Zoom at any time:

  • From DMDrop: Return to Integrations and click Disconnect on the Zoom card.
